Cimage NovaSoft Achieves Certification Under New DoD 5015.2 Records Management Standard

Cimage NovaSoft, a global provider of eBusiness application solutions achieved certification to the latest DoD 5015.2-STD as determined by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) for Cimage e3-RM.  The product was certified across multiple databases and platforms, including Windows 2000 and Sun Solaris. Department of Defense DoD5015.2 Standard

The 5015.2 standard was developed by the Department of Defense as a set of basic requirements that recordkeeping systems must meet to be used by the military.  If specifies criteria such as how records are created, how they must be destroyed, security requirements, and metadata requirements.  The standard is used by government organizations in selection and implementation of recordkeeping systems.

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) endorses the JITC testing program for compliance with DoD 5015.2-STD.  It is DoD policy that only compliant products can be purchased by DoD organizations.
