Cimage NovaSoft, a leading provider of Document Management Solutions, today announced that Cimage NovaSoft’s software, DM-Net, meets the strict enterprise-level reliability specification, leading to Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Certification. 

The certification was conducted by VeriTest, a division of Lionbridge Technologies (Nasdaq: LIOX), utilizing test procedures established by Microsoft. As the sole authorized certification lab for applications designed for Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003, VeriTest confirmed that Cimage NovaSoft’s DM-Net meets Microsoft's standards for reliability for enterprises looking to protect their business-critical data and applications.

The Cimage DM-Net Server enables users at standard web browsers to access and update information held in a Cimage NovaSoft Document Manager system. The Cimage DM-Net Server acts as a gateway to the DM system, acting as a client to the Cimage DM system and as a server to web browsers.

Cimage DM-Net uses standard HTML and HTTP protocols for communication with web browsers, enabling a variety of web browser clients running on different machines in different locations to access the information in a DM system at the same time. Cimage DM-Net supports the connection of Web browsers to the Cimage DM-Net server via proxy servers that support the HTTP protocol.

The Windows 2000 certification ensures system administrators that Cimage DM-Net operates without compromising the integrity of Windows 2000 functions, including install/uninstall, user interface and security services features.
