The newly formed HOCHTIEF Facility Management Bahrain Airport, shall take over responsibility for all technical systems, energy management and infrastructure on an area of about 70,000 m2 at the airport of Bahrain. Once again HOCHTIEF is utilising Sword CTSpace to manage this project. At present, Bahrain International Airports handles some eight million passengers every year. By 2010 this figure should increase to 15 million following the construction of a new terminal. The contract is planned to have a term of at least 15 years. The targeted volume in the first five years totals around EUR 70 million.
